The Help

The Help ~ Change begins with a whisper.

I  recently watched the movie The Help. I just want to say that I was moved by it. I very much like it. I laughed and cried at the same time. It's just really nice how help is being given to people who deserve it and how a person thinks of a way how to help others.

They are the important characters in the movie.  :)

Emma Stone as Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan, a college graduate and aspiring writer.
~ I love Emma! Who doesn't? I almost watched all of her movies. A sought after actress of her generation. It's really funny when she laughs. I love the scene where she confronts her mother about Constantine and the part where she's reminiscing her childhood.

Viola Davis as Aibileen Clark
~ She made me cry. Aibileen's life was sad but it's good that's she somehow had the courage to fight and get her life back.

Octavia Spencer as Minny Jackson
~ Funny Minny..haha. She made me laugh again and again..

Bryce Dallas Howard as Hilly Holbrook
~ Bryce was really good. She's somethin' else in the movie. I didn't recognize her at first.

Allison Janney as Charlotte Phelan
~ Skeeter's motther.

Sissy Spacek as Mrs. Walters
~ Hilly's mother. I love the scene where she was laughing out loud( a scene with Minny and Hilly ) To those who haven't seen it yet, discover why.

Cicely Tyson as Constantine Bates
~ She's Skeeters nanny.

Jessica Chastin as Celia Foote
~ Minny's naive employer and Johnny's wife. She's one of my fave characters in the movie. She's just so charming and funny.

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

My Long Wait Is Over!

OMG! I've waited for this movie and here it is now. I saw the teaser trailer of it on the MTV VMA 2011. I was so excited. Actually I finished reading the book last year. It was introduced to me by a friend of mine. Thanks to him. I loved it. The characters and the story were fresh. Vampires and werewolves had been the talk of  the town, as you all heard of them. I have nothing against them :) I'm a fan too. I think, it's just great to have something new since Harry Potter Series has also ended this year. Oh, that was sad, though. It's something to look forward to.

I was also looking forward to know the actors which will play the roles of Katniss, Peeta and Gale. Long wait is over, it is confirmed that Jennifer Lawrence will play the role of Katniss. Oh, she's pretty but I haven't seen any of her movies yet, actually I don't know her very well, she's a new face to me. I read in an article that she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress in her movie Winter's Bone. So, I guess she's good. Of course I have my own choices for the role as well, I think Saoirse Ronan would be perfect for it, Elle Fanning too, but I think she's too young & has that softness still. The boys are perfect. Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark. Who would forget him in the movie Little Manhattan? :) He was such a cute boy and still is. He started really young. He's good and charming. He deserves it. And of course, the sexy bf of Miley Cyrus, younger brother of  Thor ( Chris Hemsworth), Liam Hemsworth, he's really gorgeous and suits the role as Gale Hawthorne. In all fairness to him, he did fine in the movie Last Song :) Hope he'll be great in The Hunger Games!
